#11 - A New Year

Well this is my first post of the new year, the year of the legs. New years eve was enjoyable even though I had to work. Who would have thought you could have meaningful conversation with a drunk person when you haven't had a drop.

In the past few weeks I went out with friends from uni who I hadn't seen since uni finished for 2010, so about two months. Kind words were received and yes, it was better than a fat pie.

I hope to this year. Make more effort to meet new people and forge friendships that are worth holding onto now that I feel settled into my new city. I started a new job, which seems purely voluntary at present. I have to talk to a lot of people: I get brutally rejected on some instances, being sworn at and looked at like I am the scourge of humanity. But somehow I am enjoying it. Hopefully the lessons will transfer over into other areas of life which will make things easier in the short and long term.
